WEB ACCESSIBILITY
Dunn-Edwards is committed to making our website and all our tools of communication accessible to the greatest number of people, regardless of their ability. We are actively working to enhance the accessibility and usability of our website and to adhere to the highest current standards in this area.
Our current efforts are focused primarily on conforming to the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).The WAI develops strategies, guidelines, and resources to help make the Web accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with their guidelines helps make the Internet more user-friendly for all people.
While Dunn-Edwards strives to conform to accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the site. Many of our tools, for example, are oriented around color, and the selecting of a specific shade. The experience of color is highly visual by nature and users with certain visual impairments may find that none of our efforts suffice in facilitating the experience of true color. In particular, our visualizing tool, Dunn-Edwards InstaColor®, may prove problematic for these users.
Our efforts to seek out solutions to bring all areas of the site up to the highest possible level of overall web accessibility are continual and ongoing. Should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Dunn-Edwards website, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (888) DE PAINT® (337-2468).
