Jaclyn Johnson is the Founder of Create & Cultivate and the proud owner of a newly-transformed 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 1924 Spanish-style home in Los Angeles. After more than a year of searching, Johnson and her husband decided to forgo a move-in ready space in favor of one on which they could put their own stamp.
As a fan of Dunn-Edwards Paints, Johnson chose a series of crisp, clean hues to create (and cultivate!) the style in her newly-renovated home. Johnson’s exquisite design style, combined with her Dunn-Edwards Paint choices, do not disappoint. Here’s how Johnson utilized Dunn-Edwards crisp whites and other fun hues to make her new house an inspired home.

For a soft pop of color on the home’s exterior Johnson opted for Misty Hillside (DE5568) on the window frames and front door. The light, lime green tone is the perfect companion to both the foliage outside and the home’s textured stucco exterior in Vanilla Shake (DEW325).

Johnson carried a similar color scheme into the home’s interior. In the kitchen, her cabinets also boast Misty Hillside (DE5568), a neutral yet fun alternative to white.

Speaking of white, finding the exact perfect hue can be difficult. Dunn-Edwards fresh Warm White (DEW380) is always a stunning choice. Johnson used the paint color for the interior walls as well as the home’s ceiling. The result is a central living space that is open and airy.
