Celebrating its 15th year, this 11-day festival in Palm Springs, Calif. is a celebration of everything Mid-century modern – from architecture to interior design to vintage culture. Known as a mecca for Mid-century design, this glam desert oasis was the second home to Hollywood’s rich and famous who built vacation getaways at the height of the architecture’s Modernist era. The festival includes home tours, neighborhood tours, lectures, films and a marketplace stocked full of furniture, art and gifts. Modernism Week begins Feb.13.

Artist Caroline Geys will be collaborating once more with Dunn-Edwards Paints, lending her architecturally-inspired sensibility to a project at Modernism Week. Last June, Geys painted a mural at L.A. Design Festival interpreting the Dunn-Edwards’s 2020 trend and color story “Optimistic Endeavors.” With her eye for combining linear shape and bold color, we’re excited for Geys' view of 2020 Modernism Week.

L.A. Design Festival celebrates Los Angeles as a design capital in disciplines ranging from architecture and interiors to fashion and set design. The festival will explore art through the lens of optimism as it intersects with the environment, technology, politics and culture. Dunn-Edwards has participated in past years, and will return this year as well; the synergy couldn’t be more organic as the our 2020 trend and color stories are tinged with optimism, a sense of boundless opportunity and playfulness. Hospitality Design Expo

At Dunn-Edwards, we seek to be the paint product of record for any build, from homes to hotels and restaurants, and what better way to showcase that range than at Hospitality Design Expo in Las Vegas. We’ll be highlighting the cheery and sophisticated 2020 Color of the Year Minty Fresh (DE5687) and the different ways it can be applied. We know we’re on to something good when we choose a color that’s been identified as a major trend for the year and is part of the larger resurgence of green in design, from painted kitchen cabinets and backsplash tile to bedrooms and front doors. Green symbolizes freshness, growth and renewal, and Minty Fresh is a gentle way to try out the swing towards green! HD Expo will be held May 5-7.
