3 Inspiring Spring Color Palettes
Spring is synonymous with nature. It’s the season of births and blooms, and Earth Day, of course. Whether it's visions of warm sunbursts through the window panes, the lingering, late season rain and mud, or the flowers and foliage we eagerly anticipate blossoming, we’re taking a look at the inspiration behind some fresh and unexpected earthy paint color palettes for spring.
When it comes to earthy color palettes, brown is the lead color that springs to mind, and browns, warm taupes, and beiges are trending at the moment. For this reason, our first earthy color palette for spring boasts a variety of brown tones that create a serene, achromatic environment which feels warm and inviting, if not utterly peaceful. Ready to design with browns? Us too.
Colors used in order from left to right: Valley Flower (DEC727), Home Plate (DE6183), Kraft Paper (DE6109), Secluded Canyon (DE5186), and Molasses (DE6399)
This next fun palette for spring takes a cue from the unseasonably wet winter the West has experienced. With the usual deluge of rain, snow, and everything in between this winter, a scene of spring blossoms amid the splattered mud feels on point. Delicate white flowers amid the earthy greens and browns make this an ideal spring palette. A white, lightly dusted with pink undertones, sits against an array of weathered yellow, brown, and green tones.
Colors used in order from left to right: Vanilla Shake (DEW325), Wheat Bread (DE5360), Mink (DE6392), Midnight Garden (DE5657)
A fun spin on the peppy, pastel tones traditionally associated with spring, this spring color palette is also grounded by a creamy neutral, honeyed brown, and lush, earthy green, as well as a kind of revamped brutalism portrayed here with a softer, surrealist sensibility.
Colors used in order from left to right: Wedding Dress (DEW331), Slightly Golden (DE5299), Spearmint (DE5729), Garden of Eden (DE5607)
