Día de los Muertos
Mentioned in our Halloween trend reports the prior years, the Day of the Dead celebration continues to increase in popularity. And with the new Disney-Pixar movie "Coco," based on a character named Miguel who
finds himself in the colorful Land of the Dead following a series of twists and turns, more celebrations will expand throughout the country focused on this day. Southwest Airlines has gotten into the Halloween spirit as well, painting one of their Boeing 737 jets with themes from the movie.

Going to the Dogs
For the last few years, we’ve all seen the surge in popularity of pet products. Now that popularity has extended to the Halloween celebrations. Pets + Magazine recently reported that pet-related stocks are “crushing it” in the market. Bloomberg states, “An improving economy has encouraged pet adoptions and loosened up the wallets of people who already have one.” And since the Halloween celebrations are so popular with adults, the focus on bringing pets into the celebrations has been extended.
Creepy Clowns
From the movie “It,” a movie adaptation of a Stephen King novel, to the final season of "American Horror Story," this season promises a return of the scary clowns.
Harvest Heyday
The farm to table trend is highlighted this season with traditional scarecrows and harvest celebrations to provide a family-friendly alternative.
Halloween Ball
Elevate Halloween style this year by throwing a ball. Add polish to the décor with velvet pumpkins, gold confetti and metallic insect decals. Dark and glamorous, or vintage-inspired pieces also work well to layer
the design.
