November Color of the Month: Harvest Time (DE5208)

Why Harvest Time is November’s Color of the Month
It’s no wonder November’s Color of the Month is Harvest Time (DE5208), a rusty-orange shade somewhere between pumpkin and butternut squash that lends an instant sense of welcome and comfort to design. Much like a bowl of perfectly roasted squash soup warms up the soul, our November paint color of the month Harvest Time warms up a room. It’s the perfect shade to nurture your cravings for all things pumpkin spice and autumnal.
Harvest Time is soft and sensual like a number of the warm tones in our Neu Traditions 2020 design trends color story. This rusty-orange November color of the month represents nature’s changing scenery and offers a similar change-up to the oft-used neutral white and grey walls (think the Fixer Upper ethos). Harvest Time with along with a cool neutral Latte Froth (DE6239) trim finishes the look. The light grey hue plays a nice cooling contrast to Harvest Time’s warmth.
Paint Pairings for a Complex Look
Harvest Time looks stellar when paired with neutrals, but it also works well with blue-influenced colors. For example:
- Set the rusty-orange hue against Dunn-Edwards Nightlife (DET596) or Pencil Lead (DE5922). It’s a darker, more moody play on pairing Harvest Time with a cool neutral gray, since both of these grays are heavily influenced with blue-purple bases.
- Add unexpected drama to a room by painting Harvest Time and contrasting it with the stately Encore Teal (DEA182) for an accent color.
- Accent your space with doses of Wells Gray (DE6242) along side our November color of the month for a sophisticated autumnal inspired room that can last throughout the seasons.
