A new year kicks off new trends in interior design, making January the perfect month to unveil what’s in store for 2019’s home furnishings market. At the end of the month designers and buyers will gather in Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Market expo which runs from January 27-31. It’s the place to see newly-released home décor products and key design trends on the West Coast.
The Las Vegas Market has 32 floors with over 2 million square feet of showroom space, where manufacturers will be showcasing their latest offerings. Industry leaders, such as magazine editors and award-winning interior designers, will also be discussing the newest trends we can expect to see this winter season and beyond in a panel called “Best of the West.”

Here’s a sneak preview of three major trends you can expect to see at the Market.
Luxurious Materials
Home furnishings, lighting and accessories will give off a feeling of luxury. Expect to see furniture that’s upholstered in jewel tones like emerald green. Velvet fabrics add extra dimension to these rich colors. Accessories and accent details will make a room look lavish with pops of gold, silver and bronze.
Bold Statements
Daring design is back, which means patterns and color will be on full display on everything from rugs and pillows to artwork. You’ll also see lots of layering as different patterns are combined in one design to create texture.
Natural Appeal
One of the themes for 2019 design is the desire Americans have to reconnect with nature. This will show up at the Las Vegas Market with natural materials, such as wood, stone and linen, featured prominently on several products. Greens of all shades will also be seen throughout the Market from indoor to outdoor vignettes.
