It’s common knowledge that trends recycle and the Mid-century design trend is no different. Landing paint jobs in a historic, periodic, or Mid-century home can spruce up your resume. If you have ever wondered how to land these coveted projects or would not know how to start, we came up with a few tips on how to get there and how to get through the finish line.
1. Come in ready to preserve

This is only a matter of analyzing the property and figuring out what to improve. Don't expect to remove paints down to bare surfaces using harsh methods can permanently damage those surfaces. Generally, most homeowners’ goal is to preserve the history of the home. Creating a trusting relationship with the designer only makes the seemingly daunting task, easier. It'll be important for you to identify and understand common paint problems, then recommend appropriate treatments for preparing the surfaces.
